The Hillclimb Easy Bailout Drill Start up this little hill. Before you grind to a halt, turn and park yourself perpendicular to the hillside. Catch your breath and then ride back down. This beats picking up your upside-down bike off the hill. Here's a great picture that shows all the action at once. I'm the guy wheelying at the top. It was taken by Greg (see below). |
| The Extra Credit Drill While we were at "The Playground", Doc took off on little side runs. Those who took off after him got extra lessons in climbing and descending steep and rocky trails. You can see part of "The Playground" in the background (center) of the picture. Doc stands by, ready to help out. |

| The Mud Scraping Drill There was a steep muddy rutted hill on the way up to The Playground. No problem with knobbies, but a little more challenging with street tread. ALL the folks made it up and back...some just brought back a little more mud. |
